About Cellucomp PBC

CelluComp manufactures and sells a unique fiber, called Curran, made from waste streams of root vegetables.

Curran is then used as an additive BOTH in paper-based packaging (paper flat sheets and moulded fiber products - both wet and dry) AND in barrier coatings. Curran helps provide improved wet and dry strength and closes the sheet porosity.

CelluComp also markets a specific barrier coating called REEF, which has excellent WVTR, OTR & grease barrier.

These combined materials help produce fiber based barrier packaging that can replace plastic and PFAS.

Sustainable Solution Description

CelluComp manufactures and sells a unique fiber, called Curran, made from waste streams of root vegetables. Curran production also produces a waste stream that, in turn, can be made into biogas, making Curran a highly sustainable solution that does not compete for land with food.
