Flexible Packaging Association (FPA)

The Flexible Packaging Association (FPA) is the voice of U.S. manufacturers of flexible packaging and their suppliers. Founded in 1950, the association’s mission is connecting, advancing, and leading the flexible packaging industry. Flexible packaging represents over $31 billion in annual sales in the U.S. and is the second largest, and one of the fastest growing segments of the packaging industry. FPA members are manufacturers of flexible packaging sold to users or distributors for packaging purposes, and material or equipment suppliers to the industry. Flexible packaging is produced from paper, plastic, film, aluminum foil, or any combination of those materials, and includes bags, pouches, labels, liners, wraps, rollstock, and other flexible products. FPA promotes the advantages and benefits of flexible packaging; advocates to protect the industry against potential barriers to growth, combat regulatory burdens, and build relationships with diverse stakeholders; helps to ensure that the sustainability advantages of flexible packaging are communicated and understood; provides industry data to the membership and investment community; creates networking and education opportunities to connect the membership; and communicates to keep members and stakeholders informed and engaged.
